Distribucion horizontal de la anchoveta peruana con relacion a variables ambientales en el periodo 1986 - 2000

Abstract

An analysis of the anchovy distributíon using Geographic lnformatíon System techníques was made. The data were obtained from hydroacoustic summer evaluation cmises for Peruvian pelagic fishes, carried out from 1986 to 2000. The anchovy horizontal distribution was analysed related to oceanographic parameters like sea surface temperature, sea surface salinity and sea surface chlorophyll a concentrations. The results indicated that the anchovy horizontal distribution is associated to surface oceanographic characteristics as ranges of temperature, salinity and chlorophyll a; but it seems that the main parameter of distribution is the salinity.
