The monthly and seasonal variability of zooplankton between 2014 and 2019 was
described, based on the biovolumes, abundances and community parameters in a shallow area of the central coast of Peru. To do this, at a fixed station located in Carpayo, Callao (12°4’16.7”S, 77°9’23.7”W), zooplankton samples were collected weekly between 2014 and 2019 with a total of 96 samples. Sampling was always done at noon with a Sparnet conical net of 0.56 m in diameter and 100 microns of mesh opening, operated in vertical hauls from 2 meters from the bottom to the surface. Copepods and barnacles were the most frequent groups with 96% and 83% respectively, highlighting the species Acartia n. sp. with 83% frequency in the total of the samples. Zooplankton densities fluctuated between 6 and 44,386 Ind /
sample, in July 2018 and April 2015, respectively. According to the monthly variability, the Cirripeds early stages (nauplii) dominated in April, September and November, rotifers in March, copepods in May and foraminifera during July and August.
